RE: Nebraska Program
We have begun our preparations for our Nebraska Program. Students have chosen a notable person from Nebraska to represent. Even though we have been researching these famous people at school, your student may want do additional reading or researching at home. Students are completing a report as well as a script for being interviewed portraying their character. They will need to memorize the script. I will send it home with the students as soon as we are finished. Your student may also have additional narrative parts that he or she will need to practice, but they will be able to have a cue card. Students will need to dress to represent their character. We have many costumes and clothing items here at school especially items for the pioneer, Native American, and more vintage characters. However, students may need your help especially if they have a more modern person or a sports figure. The program will be on May 9th at 10:00 a.m. This is an exciting time in 4th grade with many preparations and activities going on to support the Nebraska History curriculum. We hope that you will enjoy this time of learning with your child!! Thank you for your support.
