S.T.E.M. Activity "A Parachute for Santa"

S.T.E.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math!  Students recently were given a challenge to create a parachute for Santa because his sleigh had broken down!  Students could use only certain materials and had to make a blueprint and build a parachute in a certain amount of time.  We had a few crash landings and got hung up on some "trees" here and there, but students were very engaged and creative.  Next week, our challenge will be to build the tallest shelf for an "elf on the shelf."
